A nurse practitioner is one who works with physicians and is responsible for providing health care and nursing services to patients. There are quite a wide range of areas where nurses can work as practitioners, and what is required is only a master’s degree. For starters, what you need to do is ensure that you have earned yourself an associate degree. Once you have been awarded this one, you will have qualified for an entry level position as a registered nurse. Once you have become a registered nurse, the next step involves ensuring that you obtain a nursing license, which will only be issued only after you have passed the National Council Licensure examination. The next step is usually to enroll for a master’s degree course, which is designed in such a way that it prepares you to become a Nurse practitioner.
